Michelle Obama Does Her Best To Be The First Lady of Fashion

In the midst of the excited of the inauguration of our 44th President Barack Obama, fashion experts everywhere were pondering what exactly the First Lady Michelle Obama would be wearing for the historic day and night.

The new First Daughters Malia and Sasha looked just as stunning as there mother. Decked out in J.Crew they could not have looked any better in such bright, bold colors. Their clothing choice was completely appropriate for their ages and looked comfortable. Sasha, whose coat came in a soft peach, worked well with the vivid orange scarf and gloves. Malia who wore a deep, bold blue paired her coat with a more adult black scarf and clothes. Both girls had the same concept with the sashes clinching their waist that resembled their mother’s. By choosing J.Crew Michelle Obama once again displays that you can look expensive without paying for expensive clothes.

With ten different balls going on celebrities, family, friends and voters young and old were patiently awaiting the next President and especially the First Lady to present her much awaited dress. A one shoulder, floor length, white chiffon gown filled with ruffles and sparkles created by a young designer named Jason Wu. After much anticipation I must say that I was greatly disappointed in her choice. Michelle Obama is a tall woman with broad shoulders and shaped much like a well-toned athlete. I would have loved to have seen her in a form fitting dress that actually showed off her body and curves rather than council it. Also, for a woman who is all about experimenting with color I was also disappointed that she played it safe with plain white. The dress gave off sort of a frumpy look. It was entirely to long being as though she had to continuously pull it up to prevent from stepping on it while dancing. I would have also loved to see her do something different with her hair. Being that it was evening and they were both attending various balls Michelle Obama should have had her hair pull up and back to show off her face. I would have loved to have seen her in the red Reem Acra dress Jill Biden has wore for the night. Her skin glowed with the red and it fit her perfectly. The dress flowed effortlessly as she and VP Joe Biden danced that night. She was simply radiant! In my view Jill Biden wins the award for best-dressed that night. Though Michelle can’t win them all I know she’ll have more mind blowing outfits to come.

Tough to do when your ugly and look like a Joe Lewis sparring partner.
Not too mention that “jaw.” Would put Michael Crichton to shame.

And those “bare” arms!! She should rename those kind of dresses to “Bicep Sleeves.” No wonder she had such few friends at Princeton. Who would want to be friendly with someone who makes Charles Atlas look like the proverbial “..98 lb. weakling.”

Michelle Obama is awesome. Its great she’s not afraid to take chances with her wardrobe. I have to admit that the election night dress was a little… unusual.
